# Critical Progression Route

Guardians make their own fate.

This guide covers the critical story progression path for Destiny 2.

**All checklisted activities and recommended videos are&#x20;**<mark style="color:$primary;">**essential**</mark>**&#x20;for experiencing the main story.&#x20;**<mark style="color:$primary;">**Activities/videos of particular importance are marked with a “⭐.”**</mark>**&#x20;Please complete the activities in the order listed.**

I highly recommend that you play all the dungeons and raids at some point, they are all very unique and fun!

With Forsaken (Y2) release, Destiny 2 implemented a seasonal content model. Seasons introduced new story beats that released each week, as well as new seasonal activities.
